The Community Awareness Task Force is part of Healthy Pima’s Substance Misuse & Mental Health Alliance that works to increase public awareness on the effects of substance misuse, highlight available mental and behavioral health services, and reduce stigmatization for all residents in Pima County.

The Community Awareness Task Force goals for 2018-2021 are to:

• To reduce access to and dependence on prescription medications and illicit substances in Pima County.

• Encourage adoption of best practice guidelines by Pima County prescribers and pharmacists.

• Increase awareness and education on the effects of substance misuse among residents of Pima County.
